It was 3 out of 5 for me, as far as the best bargain options last night are concerned, but if you count Darius Garland and Keldon Johnson, I’m 5-for-7. Not bad at all.
If you did select Sato, that’s an automatic loss for you, though. Satoransky only 3 points, 1 rebound, and three assists over 20 minutes. Nicolas Batum wasn’t any better as the Clippers got knocked out by Dallas, 142-73. The Frenchman had a disappointing 4-6-1 line but the rest of his teammates sucked as well. Side note: 51 points is the largest margin loss in Clippers history.
Here are another set of possible bargains that should grace your DFS lineup on Dec. 28:
1.) Darius Bazley, PF, Thunder
Yahoo: $14; DraftKings: $5,700; FanDuel: $5,800
The Thunder rotation is basically a revolving door, but there are still constants on the team. One of those constants is Darius Bazley. Bazley is a holdover from last year’s playoff team and shows he belonged: 15 points, 10 rebounds, and a full line in 32 minutes.
2.) George Hill, PG/SG, Thunder
Yahoo: $15; DraftKings: $4,500; FanDuel: $5,400
Speaking of the Thunder, Hill should continue to be one of their main guys, possibly to showcase him for a trade. Whatever the case, Hill started out strong and should be a sneaky fantasy option as long as he remains in OKC.
3.) Josh Jackson, SF/PF, Pistons
Yahoo: $10; DraftKings: $4,200; FanDuel: $4,300
Jackson had a second leash in his basketball life with Detroit and he’s backing it up with solid performances. He may get another opportunity for minutes with Derrick Rose sitting down Monday night. I wouldn’t consider him strongly, but if I need somebody on the minimum, I might pull the trigger on him.
4.) Mason Plumlee, C, Pistons
Yahoo: $16; DraftKings: $5,700; FanDuel: $6,000
I’ve had Plumlee for two games now and so far, he has not disappointed. Nothing with his numbers jump out at you but he has a sneaky passing game, grabs rebounds at a solid rate, and contributes defensive stats. With Blake Griffin out on Monday, I am hoping Plumlee could deliver some nice scoring games.
5.) Will Barton, SG/SF, Nuggets
Yahoo: $18; DraftKings: $6,200; FanDuel: $5,800
I am hesitant to put Barton here because he is not a question mark or a wild card. He is a legitimate starter on a contending team and he will get his. The Thrill is currently averaging 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks. If you got room for him especially in FanDuel, I suggest you do it right now.
