1.) Lauri Markannen, PF/C, Chicago Bulls Yahoo: $13; DraftKings: $4,300 Markannen has not been playing well lately, but he still plays enough minutes to be potentially relevant. Still, with three out of five games under 20 FP, he also has the same potential to flame out. But with his salary so low, he is still worth a look in certain matchups. 2.) Terrence Mann, PG/SG, Los Angeles Clippers Yahoo: $12; DraftKings: $4,900 Kawhi Leonard will be taking a rest Sunday so that opens up more minutes Read More
Choosing bargains to round up your DFS roster is a hit or miss. But with a three-game slate that features new-look rosters, we could unearth some hidden gems here and there. 1.) Chasson Randle, PG, Orlando Magic Salary: $4,300 Randle is admittedly not a high-ceiling player, but with the Magic short-handed in basically every position, he saw himself at the helm against Portland. He was mediocre--tallying 10 points, two rebounds, two dimes, and a steal-- but he played 27 minutes and his backup Karim Read More
1.) Hamidou Diallo, SG/SF, Detroit Pistons Salary: $4,900 Diallo is going to be a part of the Pistons' future and even though he only played 18 minutes the last time, he will have plenty of run down the stretch. The bad news is, we don't exactly know when. Detroit will be up against the defensively-challenged Wizards tomorrow so that's a pretty good time to start. 2.) Danny Green, SF, Philadelphia 76ers Salary: $4,700 How about DG going for 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.5 "stocks" over the Read More
1.) Dennis Schroder, PG, Los Angeles Lakers It sucks to see LeBron James go down like that and worse, he could miss a couple of weeks with that high ankle sprain. Fantasy-wise, a lot of players will benefit from the King's absence. Schroder will handle the ball a lot and some usage also trickles to Kyle Kuzma and Talen Horton-Tucker. That said, my money is on Schroder to bounce back from a sub-par outing against Atlanta. 2.) Pascal Siakam, C, Toronto Raptors Probably a desperation move, Nick Nurse Read More
1.) Nicholas Claxton, C, Brooklyn Nets DeAndre Jordan may be the starter and plays slightly more minutes, but Claxton is not a bad choice at a lesser price. He is averaging over 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks over the past three with a bonus dime and steal here and there. 2.) Tomas Satoransky, PG, Chicago Bulls Sato has been playing a lot of minutes for the Bulls lately averaging 10 points and 7 dimes over the past three games. He claimed the starting job over Coby White and has been playing Read More
Who has the most rings in the NBA? What do Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Tom Heinsohn, Robert Horry, and Steve Kerr have in common? Well, those guys have the most rings in NBA history. Well, if you’re a student of the game, you may have known quite a bit of them. If you’re new to basketball, you may not have the slightest idea who they were. You probably don’t care because, after all, they are all retired. So why don’t we get our recent history right and rank the 10 active players who Read More
All of my 5 picks for March 13 were all pretty solid, starting with Jrue Holiday's 18-8-2 plus 2 steals and 1 block stat line. Anthony Edwards also did pretty well, contributing 21-8-3 plus a steal. Even though Chris Boucher, Norman Powell, and Jerami Grant weren't bad, they all failed to get 30 FP, which is a bummer. Unless you had Rui Hachimura and Russell Westbrook on your Saturday roster, you probably have a hard time maneuvering. Let's see if we can sift out 5 bargain options that could end Read More
I did a similar article yesterday and it did went out well for the most part. For Friday night's slate, I suggested Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, Shake Milton, Kelly Olynyk, and Rudy Gay. All did exceptionally well except Howard, who "only" had 6 points and 10 rebounds plus extras. The reason for that is the return of Joel Embiid. Milton, KO, and Gay all hovered around 30 FP, while I felt Russ could have done more if the game did not go out of hand early. Overall, it was above average so let's Read More
I did offer 5 bargain options for last night with mixed results. If you happen to take up the cue and start Theo Maledon and Robert Williams, you must have won your league. Maledon had 11 points, four rebounds, and nine assists (although the lack of defensive stats is a bummer) while Timelord swatted six shots on top of two points, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal. The other picks were Elfrid Payton, Shake Milton, and Terence Davis II and it was TD2 who flamed out in the one-point loss to Read More
I did recommend 3 bargain options for last night's games, and although none of them turned out to be miracle workers, all of them put up solid games. Justise Winslow was his usual stat-stuffing self (nine points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal) while Maxi Kleber (11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists) and De'Anthony Melton (11 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals) were also helpful. Now, could I repeat the same luck for an 11-game slate? Let's see. 1.) Theo Maledon, PG/SG, OKC Thunder For Read More
