The Studs
The real explosive pickup here would be Nikola Jokic who is essentially averaging a triple-double over the last six games. However, the Joker has hit the $10,000 threshold over at DraftKings. At Yahoo, he was at $49, which is reasonable, but you may want to look at other options at DK.
For instance, outside of the blowout win over Houston, DeAndre Ayton has average 23.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 0.6 steals over the previous five games. As mentioned, he wasn’t really needed in the Rockets game since they were up by 30 or more, which explains the mediocre stat line. Ayton will be rested and tested against Jokic and the Nuggets on Saturday night.
For guards, I’ll be looking for the mini version of Jokic, and that’s Elfrid Payton. He has been stellar lately with averages of 14.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 10.8 dimes, and 2.8 steals over the past four. What’s better is that he will cost you only $7,500 at DK and 28 bucks at Yahoo.
That, my friends, is what I call a STEAL.
Some Awesome Value
Generally, what I’m looking for here is a possible 40-50 FP performances under $7,000 at DK and right about the 23-26 dollar range over at Yahoo. Saturday night will provide plenty of choices and I’ll hand the decision over to you.
Your guys could be Christian Wood ($15 at Yahoo which is a total bargain; $6,700 at DK), Caris Levert who has been stellar in the past two games ($23 at Yahoo, $6,300 at DK), and Jamal Murray ($26 at Yahoo, $6,100 at DK).
The Bargains
It will be a travesty if you don’t find a way to include Christian Wood at Yahoo since barring an injury, he has basically a free pass at 40-FP every night after the Andre Drummond trade. At DK, you can take a crack at Victor Oladipo ($4,400) since his minutes are trending upward and is back in the starting lineup for the Pacers.
