Kristaps Porzingis, PF, NYK ($9,700)
Porzingod was hobbled by an ankle injury in early December, but he’s gotten back on track with 29, 31.8 and 55.6 FP in his last three games. Porzingis scored 30 points (10-23 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), grabbed eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks in 38 minutes on Sunday. Although it was the Hawks, Kristaps’ numbers are impressive and tonight he gets a favorable matchup with the Lakers at home. I’d rather have him at his price than Karl-Anthony Towns, or Nikola Jokic who’s also been dealing with an ankle injury.
Dennis Schroder, PG, ATL ($7,900)
I love targeting players on bad teams like the Bulls and Hawks. Schroder is taking more than 17 shots a game and has control of Atlanta’s offense. Due to the lack of help around him, his assist numbers are unpredictable, but he’s scoring over 20 ppg and will likely have to hoist up a bunch of shots tonight to keep up with the Cavs. Draft Schroder tonight for guaranteed volume.
JJ Redick, SG, Phi ($5,700)
At this price, Redick is a low risk, high reward pick. He scored 28 points including 9 free throws in 35 minutes on Sunday. Teams are consistently collapsing on Ben Simmons when he drives to the hoop. This has left Redick with a lot of wide open looks and he is taking advantage. He’s averaging 21 points over his last 5 games and plays the Timberwolves tonight at 9:30pm EST.
Jeff Green, PF, ($4,500)
Kevin Love is a game-time decision, so monitor his status. If Love is out, that would mean more minutes and rebounds for Jeff Green who has resurrected his career in Cleveland. He’s only averaging 18.9 FPPG, but he’s beat that average 3 of his last 4 games. If love is indeed out tonight, Green could provide incredible value at just $4,500.
